I'm an incurable transit geek. I love trains, cable cars, streetcars, els, subways, funiculars, ferries, monorails and the Morgantown, W.Va. PRT.

So from the moment I saw New York's Roosevelt Island tram in the Spider-Man film, I wanted to ride it.

I still want to ride it. But I hope they get the bugs worked out.

WGL @ Shamrock tomorrow

Time once more to hear the honkytonk music of the World's Greatest Lovers at the Shamrock Bar. The show is tomorrow, 4/20 (dude) at 10 pm. There is no cover. The Shamrock is at 117 W. Main St. in downtown Madison.

Call it blog anxiety. I have so much to do, and I look at my blog, which I haven't been updating as often or as generously as I'd like lately, and I just feel anxious. Anxious is not good. Anxious bad.

Cheerleaders, it turns out, are just like you and me, but prettier. Cheerleaders' mothers, meanwhile, are just like you and me, but more manipulative.
