Set the TiVo

Next week is my favorite televised sporting event, the star-studded Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. Sadly, after the old man died, coverage was relegated from broadcast to the Golf Channel. But I'll keep watching.

Less than you thought

Here's another pearl I turned up in my Complete New Yorker browsing, this one from the May 20, 1985 issue. Surely this is the most catastrophic marketing plan since the heyday of the revolutionary diet plan Ayds.
